Get your project built.
You build shade, art, repair bars, sanctuaries — gifts for everyone. We make them fundable. You never have to handle money, receipts, or a nonprofit: donations come in tax-deductibly through our 501(c)(3) partner, and we pay your vendors directly.
How it works
- List your project. About 20 minutes. Describe the gift, give an estimated budget, name a lead and a backup. The line-item budget comes after approval.
- Get funded. Your community gives first; donors who've never met you find you here.
- We pay your vendors. You build it. Post updates as you go. Put up the placard when the gift opens.
What it asks of you
- Your gift is open to anyone who walks up, findable, and marked with a placard.
- A line-item budget with vendors. Only the public-facing part of a project is fundable; your kitchen and your RV stay on your own budget.
- Build-in-public updates as you go, and photos after the burn showing the gift was open.
- A single transparent fee, shown at checkout. Donors can choose to cover it.
FAQ
Does it cost anything?
A single fee comes out of what's raised, shown at checkout; donors can choose to cover it. Nothing up front, ever.
Who can list a project?
Placed camps, registered art projects, mutant vehicles, and civic services whose gift meets the Open Gift Standard. If your gift is open to anyone who walks up, you're probably eligible.
How long does it take?
About 20 minutes to draft. We review within 10 business days and tell you exactly what to change if something doesn't qualify.
What if I'm not fully funded?
Projects aren't all-or-nothing. When you're approved we set a minimum that lets the gift go ahead; once you reach it, we start paying vendors. Below it, gifts are held or applied to a similar project.
What are my responsibilities?
Three updates (approved, building, delivered), a receipt or quote for every payment, and photos after the burn showing the gift was open. Tell us if your leadership changes.
Who owns what we buy?
Small things bought for a project belong to the project. Big things (over $2,500) stay in service of the gift; if the project ends, they go to another gift or come back to the sponsor at fair value. Nobody keeps a donor-funded sound system for their living room.
What can I fund?
Art, workshops, health and safety, free services, kids' programs, accessibility, spiritual spaces. Not alcohol, tickets, dues, or anything only your camp uses. Full list: what qualifies.
